Magazine Mock Up 2020
A project where students were challenged to create a mini-magazine. I envisioned a magazine that combined the nostalgia of exclusive toys and collectibles that intersect with architecture and interior design (2020).
The first issue of the magazine would be focusing on rare figurines and dolls within the living space. With the popularity of Bearbricks and Gundams, toys become pieces of art for the home.
The second issue of the magazine would be focusing on the use of technology when we re-imagine toys. A.I toys like robot dogs and the contrast of technological advances from old computers would be included as headline pieces. The issue would demostrate how history is not linear when it comes to human achievements of efficiency.
The third issue of the magazine would be discussing western infrastructure and antiquities. The romanticization of cowboys have always been prominent in popular culture and historical cars have always been seen as toys.
